1st birthday!

It was little Miss R first birthday, her mom and I had a great idea of her smashing her fists in her cake and eating it all messy like....ya well, she decided that she was going to be a little lady and show us how dainty she is and that ladies don't get messy.  She had her own ideas of what was the right way to eat cake.  Such a little lady she is.  ;-)~

My daughter loves that her mother is such a good photographer.  When I came home the other day as I walked in the door she said "Oh oh momma! I have a great idea for a photo shoot!"  She grabs a box and said she wanted to put her son in it like she want to send him to his (Great) Aunt Lisa.  So with me still in my scrubs, we put him in a box with some packaging material as if we would send him.

I love this photo of Edd, she just picked a flowers from my garden and wanted me to take her photos.  The best thing is after taking all these photos I found out that I{heart}faces that their challenge this week is yellow and it fits so well in it. Yes, I know she needs her bangs cut, but she still looks so dreamy!

roses and bubbles

over at I {heart} faces this week their photo challenge is all about flowers.  And after I took this I knew that I wanted to enter it.  I love the way the bubbles seem so young alive around the aging flowers.

first moments

The first moments after giving birth are one of the most wonderful feelings a mother can go through.  She radiate beauty and love like a beacon in the dark; the whole room lights up with the mother's love for the hard work she did to bring her baby into the world.  This was taken just moments after giving birth to the new love of her life.  I feel honored to be there for the birth of my grandson.  She may hate this photo and find too many falses in it, but I only see the love as my daughter as she gazes at her son for the first time.

5 months

Love having a baby around to be able to take photos of almost daily.  Yep, the little man is 5 months old.  Oh how time flies when you're not looking.
